How to Make a Gel Ice Pack

Heat therapy and cold therapy are low-cost but effective ways to reduce many types of back and neck pain. Here are some simple ways to make Reusable Hot And Cold Packs so you can get quick relief.

How to make ice bags - These five ideas are simple and can be used with common household products

Why not make one yourself when you find yourself in need of an ice bag? I have five simple ways to do it. You can make a homemade ice bag, which is easy to do with the use of common household goods, which can be put in zipper bags and then pop up in the refrigerator. If you want to add a little bit of leak-proof security, you can also put the Zip Bag in the second zip bag, with one side of the zipper facing down and your ice bag in two bags. One of the methods is simpler - Just use a wet sponge!

1.Corn Syrup

Corn syrup is a good material to make Gel Ice Packs. It keeps it soft and doesn't change the texture and color of the refrigerator. It also does not contain any harmful, if it accidentally punctures or leaks in lunch, except that things become a little sticky. It can be zipped in any size. Just pour some corn syrup into the bag, seal it, and put it in the refrigerator for hours. This is my favorite way to make homemade ice bags, and I keep one in the refrigerator all the time. It is particularly suitable for injuries because it is flexible and can be molded in the ankle, knee, wrist, or other painful areas.

2.Dish Soap

Dish soap can also be used to make a simple self-made ice bag. According to the length of time you put it in the refrigerator, it can be more gel, flexible, harder and more ice. I prefer to take it out of the fridge in two hours because then it's still flexible and soft (much like corn syrup). If you leave the soap ice bag in the refrigerator for more than a few hours, it will be more ice and harder. So the time frame of this method is more important, it depends on what type of ice bag you want. Anyway, it's a simple way to get in any size zipper bag, just pour in the soap. No measurement is required.

3. Rubbing Alcohol

Adding alcohol to the water prevents it from freezing completely, making it easy to make homemade ice packs. To make this method in a quart-sized zipper bag, combine 1 / 2 cup of water with 1 / 2 cup of alcohol. Seal and refrigerate for hours or overnight. Sometimes you can also find a green holly, rub alcohol, give an ice bag a little color.

4. Salt

For a cheap and easy DIY ice bag, just add some common salt to the water. Salt is another ingredient that, when added to water, prevents it from freezing completely. Using a zipper bag the size of a sandwich or quart, add 2 tbsp salt to 2 cups of water. Seal and refrigerate for hours or overnight.

5. Sponge

Finally, you can make an ice bag with a clean sponge, wet it with water, and put it in the refrigerator. It's a good lunch ice pack method because it's just water and there are no other potentially harmful substances. When removed from the refrigerator for the first time, the sponge will be hard and inelastic. When the temperature rises, it becomes moist and soft, but it doesn't drip. You can put it in a bag if you want, but it's not necessary.

Of course, if you think the above operation is troublesome and want to use ice bags quickly and conveniently, please check our ice bags, hot cold packs, and other related products, and you will find the products you want.
