Your Hot Water Bottle should be checked before use to ensure the stopper screws on and stays in place. Continue to inspect for signs of wear, damage, and leakage. Do not use your Hot Water Bottle if you have any concerns.

What exactly does a guarantee cover?

Any warranty offered on a Hot Water Bottle is limited to manufacturing flaws. It excludes degradation caused by misuse, improper storage, or accidental damage, all of which can be detected during a return bottle inspection.

What should the capacity of my Hot Water Bottle be?

For safety reasons, Hot Water Bottles should never be filled with more than two-thirds full of water by a responsible adult.

Should I fill my Hot Water Bottle with hot water from the kettle or from the tap?

Fill your Hot Water Bottle with water that has been boiled and allowed to cool for a minute or two in the kettle (or pan). The use of boiling or just boiled water poses a scalding risk due to splashback. It is not recommended to fill your Hot Water Bottle with hot tap water because it contains minerals and impurities that are expelled during the boiling process and accumulate inside the Hot Water Bottle, causing it to prematurely degrade.

What is the ideal temperature for my Hot Water Bottle?

Because everyone's tolerance level to heat varies, skin sensitivity should be considered when using a Hot Water Bottle, but it should feel nice and comfortable; hot but not burning.

Is it okay to use my Hot Water Bottle without a cover?

We strongly advise that you always use a cover with your Hot Water Bottle, especially if it is being used by young children, the elderly, or someone with skin sensitivity or loss of sensation.

Can I wash the cover of my Hot Water Bottle?

Yes, unless otherwise specified, most fitted covers can be hand washed with a mild detergent. Some covers can be machine washed at 40 degrees, as specified on the product listing page in the ‘other details' section. We do not recommend washing 3D covers, only wiping them down with a damp sponge.

How long should my Hot Water Bottle keep me warm?

If used and stored properly, your Hot Water Bottle should last for about 2 years; however, the rubber will naturally deteriorate during this time, so it is recommended that you replace your Hot Water Bottle to ensure it meets British standards for safe use.

Where should I keep my Hot Water Bottle?

When not in use, drain the water from your Hot Water Bottle and remove the stopper. Keep it away from direct heat or sunlight. A cupboard, drawer, or wardrobe is ideal, but avoid placing it in an airing cupboard, boiler cupboard, or near a radiator because temperature fluctuations can harm the bottle. Similarly, avoid contact with chemicals that could degrade the rubber.

Precautions that are reasonable:

• DO NOT sit, lie on top of, or put extreme pressure on your filled Hot Water Bottle.

• DO NOT permit more than 20 minutes of direct contact with one part of the body.

• DO NOT use a hot water baby under 36 months or unattended children with a hot water baby.

• DO NOT use a Rubber Hot Water Bottle, if you have a latex allergy.
